ACM India Travel Grants for Indian Students
The ICDCN 2027 Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the availability of ACM India travel grants to support participation in ICDCN 2027, to be held at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, India, during January 4–7, 2027.
These grants aim to facilitate domestic travel for Indian students who have registered for the conference, particularly those with accepted papers, posters, or demos. Graduate Student Forum participants and students registered for the full 4-day conference are also eligible. Subject to availability of funds, limited support may also be extended to student authors of accepted workshop papers and a few non-author participants.

Eligibility
Eligible
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. students enrolled in any Indian institute or university
- Must hold an ACM India student membership
- Students with accepted papers, posters, or demos at ICDCN 2027
- Graduate Student Forum participants
- Students registered for the full 4-day conference
- Student authors of accepted workshop papers (subject to fund availability)
- A few non-author participants (subject to fund availability)
Not Eligible
- Postdocs
- Early career researchers or scientists
- Keynote or invited speakers (unless they are students)
- Participants attending only workshops or a single day
- Students not registered at the full conference rate
Grant Details
What is Covered
The grant covers travel expenses and local transportation to and from the airport, railway station, or bus station. To-and-fro travel expenses from the institute where the applicant is enrolled to NITK Surathkal will be reimbursed.
What is Not Covered
Registration fees and boarding/lodging expenses are NOT covered under the travel grant. All awardees must register at the full conference rate independently before applying.
Reimbursement Process
The grant provides partial travel support in the form of reimbursement. Reimbursements will be provided towards the end of the conference upon production of original receipts and completion of the appropriate forms. The actual amount will be determined by available funds and announced to awardees.
Awardee Obligations
All travel grant awardees are required to attend all four conference days and participate in all sessions. Awardees may also be asked to perform student volunteer duties and/or transcribe some sessions. The resulting summaries may be posted on the conference website with the authors' names. Workshop attendance is required only if the awardee has an accepted workshop paper.
Selection Criteria
The grant will aim to support students from underrepresented geographies and communities, promoting inclusivity. A list of travel grant awardees will be posted on the conference website. The committee's decision will be final and binding.

Applicants must fill in the Student Travel Grant Application Form before the deadline. The following documents and information must be provided through the form:
Basic Details
Name, email, contact information, student status, affiliation, mode of travel, date of arrival, etc.
Accepted Paper Details
Details of the accepted paper, poster, or demo at ICDCN 2027 (if applicable).
Paper Registration Receipt
Proof of registration at the full conference rate.
Endorsement Letter
Student travel grant endorsement letter from the applicant's advisor or Head of Department (HOD).
Identity Proof
I-card or bonafide certificate issued by the applicant's institute or university.
ACM India Membership Card
Valid ACM India student membership card showing current membership status.
